Who are the Holladays?

Karen and Walter have been married for 39 years (it seems hard to believe). We have six wonderful children who were all raised in Utah. In 2009 we moved to Costa Rica for a year, which was an amazing adventure. In 2019 we purchased a farm and campground from Karen’s parents, which keeps us super busy.

Rachel and Sawyer are in Santa Cruz, California. Sawyer is a child Psychiatrist. Rachel is currently a stay at home mom. They have two beautiful children: Juniper and Elliot.

Rebekah lives in Ogden Utah and works doing graphic design for a printing company there. She has published audio drama, which you can find on Audible.

James is working full time at IHC as a manager in the IT department. He and his wife Lexy have three amazing children: Boston, Isabelle, and Holden. They are expecting their fourth child in December.

Hannah is renting a basement apartment from James and Lexy and working in customer support for Simplifile. She has an energetic boy: Grayson.

Elisabeth and Franky just got an apartment in Utah County. Franky is working as an airplane mechanic at the Provo airport. Elisabeth is taking computer science classes online. They have a beautiful baby boy: Frank Jr.

Winter is currently living with us in Idaho and selling anime drawings.

I will try to keep this website relatively up to date with what is going on in our lives, but I make no promises.

  1. Hi, I was trying to research the history an old, large milk can I’ve owned for 30 years or so and found your website with historical photos of a dairy. My milk can is embossed with Holladays Reg Ca on the front and wondered if it has any connection to the daily in your photos. The dairy farm must have been in your family and was located in Mission Valley, San Diego which is where my son lives. I would love to hear the history of the farm if it is indeed where my milk can came from.

Thanks for your help, I loved seeing the old photos and this is such a nice web site for your family.

    1. Charlene,

Yes in deed, Holladay Dairy was owned by my family. It was started by my grandfather, and then carried on after his death by my father and his brothers. My father left San Diego in 1964 for Hawaii, which is where I grew up. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the photos, they are very special to me even though I have no personal memories of the Dairy Farm. My father always referred to himself as a farmer even though he did many other things in his life.

  4. Hello Walter,

I am the oldest son of Morse Holladay. The San Diego Holladays were close to my father and your father courted my aunt Beth. There are six boys in our family. We spent many vacations staying with the Holladays at the diary.

  5. Sure enjoyed looking at these old photos of the farm. I went to Alice Birney Elementary school with Melinda Holladay in the 6th grade 1957 -1958. I found an old invitation to her birthday party at the farm dated May 10, 1958. I thought the house was so beautiful and wondered for years if it was still in Mission Valley. The birthday party included a afternoon at the bay and our whole class was invited. I also remember her Dad was a very nice man. Hope all is well with her and it was special to think about that long ago time in Mission Valley.
    Sincerely, Linda Papay Biesel
