all the wild horses

Ok, this is the things I have to talk about this week.
1. French Cafe Breakfast
So, the stake relief society put on an activity and it was ridiculous/awesome. They decided to do a French Cafe thing and have a breakfast at 9 o’clock. So, I ate eclairs, that egg stuff that I cannot spell the name of, creme puffs, strawberries, and was a happy panda. Then they had a meeting where some of the sisters shared their testimonies, the stake presidency introduced the new theme, and they had a speaker. It was lots of fun.
2. 5 member presents in one day/ exchanges with Sis Vause
We had a full field day, and Sister Vause (Hna Falcon’s last companion) came for exchanges. It was super successful, we were able to contact a potential on the reservation, and get a new investigator. It was also the day we did prayer rocks which I’ll talk about later.
Ugh, there’s old ladies talking super loudly about family history and it’s making it so I can’t focus.
3. Julio
Is the new investigator. He has a date now which is awesome, because we haven’t been able to set any dates this whole transfer. I’m a little nervous, because he seems pretty stuck in his ways, and he talks a lot of circles. We’ll see how it goes.
4. Camera
I’ve been using the camera, but I can’t get the flash to work :/ So, I’m going to have to send it back because the only Costco here is outside of the mission. Cha-lame. I’m not sure if I’ll have time to go to the post office today, but if I do, because I forgot to bring my flash-drive and stuff today, could you please send me the picture files after you get the camera?
5. Hot Chocolate
We’ve been going over to the Rubio’s house a lot, because Hna Cecena (we call it the Rubio house but only one person there actually has that last name) is always willing to go to lessons, and Sheila has been there a lot. Anywho, last night Hna Cecena gave us hot chocolate, hot rolls with a dulce de leche type sauce, and cookies. It was so magical.
Note about Rene and Sheila. Sheila is still super golden, but it looks like they won’t be getting baptized anytime soon because Rene isn’t so hot on the idea of getting married :/ He’s waiting for U.S. citizenship and if he marries her it will disqualify him.

How come no one wrote yesterday?
My P-days switch, because I’m in the Visitor Center. Mine was supposed to be yesterday but we traded with another companionship so they could go to their zone activity. Anywho,
How come you didn’t email until today?
I am emailing today.
How is Sister Estrada’s health and how is Sister Falcon?
Sister Falcon is good. She’s finally adjusting to the fact that the area is just slower than her last one. The first few weeks she kept just trying to drop everyone. Que barbaridad.
What’s been your favorite thing this past week?
Painting prayer rocks with Ceci and Cynthia. They’re too girls we’ve been teaching and they’re both suuuper shy. Their mom Sandra is a less active and she doesn’t talk either. They’ve been going through a pretty rough time because their Dad’s in jail and they’ve had to move in with one of the members of the branch. Anyways, we’ve been wanting to find some fun things to do with them so that maybe they’ll open up a little bit more, or at least feel more comfortable around us. So we decided to make prayer rocks. They were so cute and careful with the paint. The best part was that their Mom came out and joined us 🙂
What is your favorite thing to get in the mail?
MAIL.
If you could have any wish and I were a genie to grant it, what would you wish for?
Is this, like, a giant wish? The magical kind where you get world peace, or Rene & Sheila get married and baptized? Or the kind where I get shirts in the mail, before summer time, that I don’t have to layer with other shirts?
Do you know how much your family loves you?  We are all so proud of you and think of you every day and worry about you when we don’t hear from you even if you’re only a day late in writing?
Mom, you’re weird.

Anyways, I love and miss you a lot. Hopefully Rebekah will stop being a square and email us all soon.
Love you,
Rachel
