To be honest not much happened this week. We tried really hard to have appointments with every single person that has interest in the message and we were motivated to teach with the spirit and everything so that the people with interest could progress, but for some reason everybody had stuff come up and by the end of the week I think we ended up having less than 5 lessons and 1 or 2 were getting to know the members better. So, we didn’t get super far there.
We did happen to find 1 new person with interest last night and she seems really great! The lesson we taught to her was about the Book of Mormon because she came to the baptism of the Hermana’s investigator last Tuesday because our branch mission leader invited her. When we got to her house she told us that she had been there and then we realized why she had looked familiar cuz we had no idea she wasn’t a member and hadn’t really spoken to her much at the baptism. We just happened to find her while contacting random houses on the street and thought we just found somebody really nice. It seems like we actually found somebody who’s really been prepared. As it turns out Margarita already has the book of mormon and all of the pamphlets for the first 3 lessons and they were just sitting on her dining room table when we walked in and sat down to share with her. So when we whipped out our book of mormon to start explaining it she jumped up and grabbed hers from off the table and opened it up to read with us. We were kind of shocked, and the spirit was really strong throughout the entire lesson. We’re going to work really hard and be praying a lot for her so that she can learn the truth of our message and really progress in the gospel! It feels kind of like a fresh new start. š I think God gives us lots of those.
