Craziness

Heyo!

So this week was fun. We’re teaching a ton of Haitians and this friday we invited them to a family home evening with this member family where the 2 kids are return missionaries who’ve already got their fiances and everything. We brought 6 of our investigators. They’re all super cool and they shared a message about baptism leaving the invitation to pray and read the Book of Mormon to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints really is the only church that has the power and authority of God. The spirit was so strong in that lesson and then we had 7 of our investigators in church on Sunday. It was amazing. I’ve never in my life seen so many investigators all together at once learning about the gospel and the members were super great and friendly and made them feel comfortable and at home even though they don’t speak Spanish very well.

We also had a cool lesson with Alvaro. He’s the boyfriend of Daniela, a less active member, but she introduced him to the church and the missionaries have been teaching him for a while. We actually didn’t have plans to visit him on Friday but Hna. Morante felt like we should do it so we did. When we got there they were about to watch The Avengers but they stopped to listen to us and we shared a video and talked about goals and families and how we can be with our family forever. Alvaro cried a little bit. He left the room for a bit at the end of the lesson to clean the bathroom cuz we needed to borrow it and Daniela told us that she was really glad that we came and that the timing was perfect. We left them with the invitation to find out what God wants them to do in their lives right now.
Questions and Answers

Tell us a little bit about your companion.  How old is she?  What is your favorite thing about her?
Hna. Morante is from Ecuador and she just turned 20 years old. She’s super cool and funny and the only person I know who can make a parabola (parable?) out of thin air.
How are the investigators doing in your area?  Are the members good at fellowshipping?
We have a few investigators that are close to progressing and 1 of our Haitians has a baptismal date for the 27th. The members are getting better and better at fellowshiping.
What is your favorite P-Day activity?  Do you ever just take a nap?
My favorite p-day activity is napping, but normally we don’t have time.
Spiritual high points?
I actually shared stuff that touched peoples hearts and I know there is no way on earth that I would be able to without the spirit guiding me.
