20 Years Old

Thanks to everybody who wished me a happy birthday because your wishes came true and I had a very happy birthday. 🙂 A less active member and her boyfriend threw me a surprise birthday party and at the end of it we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to him and challenged him to baptism and he accepted. His name is Alvaro and he’s really golden. The only problem is that I don’t think they live the law of chastity because I’m pretty sure he lives with her and her 3 sons. So… that lesson is going to be fun. :S Luckily we don’t have to teach them alone. We have the third member of the Godhead with us when we do it right. He’s probably the best teacher ever cuz he can actually touch their hearts and help them feel the truth. It’s pretty amazing and honestly I don’t understand how it works that well but I’m learning little by little.

We had our multizone conference as well this last week and it was super great. President and Hermana May taught us how to seek to have the spirit with us. Then we had President Texeira and Hermana Texeira who are the area president and his wife and he’s also a general authority. They taught us a lot of things including some really cool techniques for teaching and asking for references and challenging people to baptism, but mainly all of it was to help us become better missionaries. At the moment we don’t have a ton of baptisms or new investigators or really anything number wise here in this mission, but they made us the promise that if we do the things that they taught us we’ll bring up our numbers to about double of what we have now not to mention that we’ll come closer to the promise that  Elder Packer (The counselor to Presidente Texeira) made us that we’ll be able to baptise at least once a week. It’s all kind of exciting cuz we’re all learning a lot and I personally feel like it’s an amazing opportunity to be here in chile concepcion south at the moment cuz I get to see the mission change a whole lot and I get to learn from it as well. #Blessed
