So, this week we thought we found the most Golden investigator ever and he didn’t come to church and hasn’t responded to our calls. Then we had another Golden investigator who came to church, but we found out that he’s living with his girlfriend because he’s in the middle of a divorce with another woman. We also found a haitian that is super cool. His name is Maxen. The last new investigator that we found this week is not very religious but she would like to learn a Little bit as well as work on her English so we started teaching her the lessons in English and she’s polite and receptive, but we don’t know if her curiosity will grow into anything greater. Hopefully it’ll be that way, but we’ll have to wait and see.
I was asked for updates on the investigators here in Cautin so here’s what I got. Alvaro didn’t come to church, and Evelyn seems to be avoiding us. Solanche is definitely avoiding us and Juan Carlos is having serious drinking issues and hasn’t been willing to see us or Hermano Rain because of it (They’re neighbors). Calerbe is living pretty much every commandment except for tithing and fast offerings and he only was willing to commit to try to come to church every sunday. #Calerbeisthebest Donald has disappeared off the face of the Earth and if we have other investigators I can’t even remember them at the moment. Jaja!
I also learned this last week that it doesn’t matter how many physical baptisms you get during your mission, cuz you could very easily have a bunch that happen afterwards, just because you shared a card or a testimony with somebody who needed it, or at the very least you can become the person that God wants you to become so that you can help others in the future. There is nothing more important than doing your best and trusting that it will cause good fruits even if you can’t see them. It’s funny cuz I technically already knew this/had Heard it many times, but it finally hit me that it’s true and I need to learn to not let my circumstances decide my attitude. So one of my new goals is to have a better attitude and be happy no matter what happens. I have every reason to be happy every day because I have the truth and it’s full of hope.
