So we had transfers today! Also I forgot to tell you guys P-days are switching to Tuesday now so that’s when you should be hearing from me from now on. Also I will be writing you guys about Mothers Day and the video call soon. But back to business. I’m staying in Cautin with Hermana Ellis! That means 4 cambios in Cautin or in other words 6 months and 3 cambios with Hermana Ellis! I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to stay here with such a great companion. Especially since Maxen is getting baptised this Saturday and I did not want to miss that. We also still have Alvaro and Gerald on the way to baptism for the 19th of June. This should be a good cambio.
In this letter I want to include a few funny stories that have come to pass over the last few weeks. One day we were searching for new investigators or potential investigators and we had somebody on our list whose house number didn’t seem to exist so we asked this lady if she knew anybody on the street by the name of the person we were searching for. At this time I had had hiccups for about 10-15 minutes and had given up on getting rid of them. We ended up talking to the lady a little making some light conversation when all of a sudden she came at me looking like she was going to try to jump me or something. Well I jumped. It happened super fast and before I even could process anything she was back to normal and said “That should stop your hiccups.” Jaja! It worked! I don’t think I’ve ever met somebody with so much energy and desire to serve! Jaja!
The other day we were on the bus and the street buses here in chile move super duper ridiculously abruptly so we were on one heading towards our house cuz it was late and we had language study. Hna. Ellis was standing cuz there wasn’t enough seats for everyone. On Chilean buses you have to hold the poles in the bus to stay standing and you need to spread your feet wide with good balance. I guess Hna. Ellis didn’t have the best ballance this time so she swung around the pole she was holding and landed sitting in the lap of the lady who had been behind her in one of the seats. She thinks her bag might have hit the lady. Sadly I didn’t see it very well but during the moment she attempted to catch herself by grabbing my shoulder but didn’t get a good hold. Jaja! The lady wasn’t hurt at all so she just laughed and talked to us like good friends. It’s kind of fun to see how awkward situations can connect people. Also we saw a really cool construction work sign that we took pictures with and I’ll try to share the photos with you guys in google drive.
Also 2 weird and possibly dumb things I said because I was overly tired and not thinking. First would be “I think the more sugar I eat the more sensitive my eyes get to light and such.” Second thing “I should stop drinking caffeine cuz I think it’s making me sweat more.” I had had some coca cola at lunch with a member because they give us that a lot, but after I said this Hermana Ellis pointed out the fact that I had 2 jackets on and it was a warm day… Oops Jaja!
Love you guys. Look for the funny things in life and laugh a little but don’t laugh at others cuz that’s lame. 😀
P.S. I kind of feel like I’m writing a blog.
