Well, I am not really sure what to say today since I talked to you all less than 24 hours ago. I guess, I’m wondering if you ever heard from Rebekah. My night was pretty fun. No one really wanted to meet with us since it was mother’s day n’ all so, we went around and did heart attacks for some of the ladies in the ward. My tummy also decided to get really upset with me which has been… pleasant.
Things that have happened that I didn’t talk about, or didn’t talk about very much;
Guy has cancer and it’s terminal. I don’t know if any of you remember when I wrote about him before, but he’s the older gentlemen I met at Christmas lights, who’s wife had recently passed away. I am hoping I can get the elders who are teaching him to bring him into the visitor center. I’d really like to see him again. When I called him this week and he told me he was actually a lot calmer than any of the other times I had talked to him. I can tell the gospel is making a difference in his life, he just hasn’t gotten to the point where he really accepts it.
Carmen got baptized, which was really neat. She had her interview with President Ellsworth on Wednesday. While we were waiting for him, we took a walk around the temple. Hna Solorzano and I both promised we’d come back when she goes through the temple in a year. Which means she also promised she’d be going through in a year. After her interview President said that our whole missions would be worth it if we could find one person like carmen. She has such a solid testimony and she’s so excited about sharing it. Almost the whole branch came to her baptism, and thanks to the fact that we told them it was going to start at 5:30 instead of 6 most of them were there by 6:10 or so. We still had to start really late because her brother Luis didn’t show up until 6:30. He also didn’t come to church on Sunday for her confirmation, but he’s another story for another time. Anyways, Carmen is so excited and the branch just loves her to pieces. I’m really sad I forgot to bring the cable for my camera today so, no pictures until next week.
Anyways, I’m really excited for this weekend because we’re going to have another really big activity in the branch, and everyone is supposed to invite all their non member friends. Three cheers for possible new investigators! The other exciting thing that’s happening this weekend is Ana is going to speak at the mission president’s fireside. Yeeeah. Now all I need is to find an investigator who is willing to go…
Hermana Lamb says “Hi,” and Hna Solorzano informed me yesterday that she likes you all so, I should keep you. She also wants us to go to Nicaragua after we get Rebekah from El Salvador.
Also, shout out to Angie who finally found the blog, and I will be writing today.
