Sorry, I don’t have any time to write now because I spent forever uploading photos. Sis Kranendonk is always really good about taking photos and this is the first pday we’ve had with her this transfer besides the day of zone activity. There’s a picture of almost all the zone in their costumes. I was the mission president’s wife, and Hna Noble was some purple caped villain. She wanted to be a dinosaur but it didn’t really work out.
On Halloween day we had district meeting, then went to help a member make day of the dead bread, and then visited Dulce for a bit.
Dulce and Pascual were baptized!! The service was short, simple, and beautiful. I was really stressed out so we were there way earlier than we needed to be and I ended up decorating for the baptism with things from the relief society closet. Hna Garcia (Pascual’s sister-in-law) spoke, and Hna Ayala (she is also the one who did just about everything for their wedding). They both actually stuck to the three minute limit, and everything they said was doctrinally correct. Which was a miracle, and also wonderful because Hna Garcia brought a non member friend, and our former investigator Oswaldo showed up. Dulce and Pascual are both super happy and now we’re just working on helping them get into the habit of studying the scriptures.
I have now been in the field for over a year. Sis Shurtz, Kranendonk, and I took a photo to commemorate since we all came out together.
I’m never coming home. “They can’t release what they can’t catch.” For reals though why does everyone keep asking me about it. It’s been giving me nightmares… literally.
Love you,
Rachel
