Hello family of mine,
Well I’m stressing out because all these keyboards have been put into retarded functions and it won’t let my time stop while I sign out. So I printed out your emails and I will read them later. Hopefully there is nothing that I need to respond to yet today.
Well, I already wrote you guys about my first day here to give you an idea about that.
My first companion is Hermana Williams she is from Arlington Texas, and she is nineteen years old just like me. She doesn’t speak any spanish, so that’s been a little difficult, especially since we will be on our fifth lesson with the investigator (TRC) Luis. I think it is good for me in a way because that way I am actaully employing all the Spanish that I know. All of our lessons have gone super well up until yesterday. I made a noob mistake. I asked Luis how he felt about following Christ, and about having the spirit and all that and everything he said was very positive. So I was like well then what is holding you back bro?? (in a very christlike way) and he was all wishy washy about how he needed to be sure. So I was like, “ok, pray.” and he said “now?” and I said, “yep exactly.” and so he said a prayer to begin the lesson and asked about the church being correct. THE SPIRIT WAS SOO STRONG. So I thought to myself “ask him how he feels.” Noob mistake I just said thanks and went straight into the lesson, and totally blew the opportunity that the Lord had bascially spoon fed me. So I started crying once we left because I felt so bad.
Anyways, then I just decided it isn’t the end of the world and we still have today. I haven’t been sad really at all except for a couple hrs on friday, and the mess up with Luis, but other than that I am seriously having the time of my life! I love to learn about the church all day and speak Spanish.
So today being P-day we went to the temple and did endowments which was glorious. I got a sketchbook from the bookstore and a little Spanish notebook for super cheap. I am now stressing about getting this email done. I have laundry to do and a few letters to write. Then back to business as usual. I hope to get some pants on before that. I miss those things.
Elder Irwin is in my district (so yes I have been put in the beginning class with no sign of moving, in a way it is really nice because I understand absolutely everything, but sometimes it is a little boring.) so along with Elder Irwin there are three other Elders going to Kennewick, Hermana Williams, and I. Then Hermana Garcia and Vance (21 and 26 yrs old) are going to Florida with an Elder and this other Elder from Manchester is going to New York, New York. So all state-side Spanish speaking. I and Hermana Garcia are the ones who can speak pretty well.
Yes I see people I know ALL the time. I have seen Ryan Clifford, Zach Olson, tons of kids from Jr High and High school and I ran into Skyler at the bookstore today. He already lost his scriptures.
Anyways, I love you all with every bit of my heart.
I will try to be more entertaining next time if I get a good computer. haha
LOVE
Hannah (I miss my name a little)
