Teotihuacan

Today we went to see the ruins at Teotihuacan, comonly referred to here as the pyramids. Ale rode a bus to our hotel and picked us a little after 8 AM. We then rode a city bus to the main terminal where we caught a tour bus out to the site. The site is huge! We hiked up the pyramid of the sun, which is the largest on the site, and is really quite impressive.

We then rode the bus back into the city where used the Internet at Ales house and picked up their minivan for the rest of the day.

We ate lunch at a popular restaurant that serves tipical Mexican fare. We had sopes, flautas, and quesadillas. It was fantastic.

Afterward we drove back into the city to try and visit the museum of modern art. Unfortunately we did not make it in time for the museum. However, we found another museum that was open later, and it was free! We had a great time looking at the art (well, at least the women in the group had great time). Then it was back into the car, and back into the traffic. It felt like we spent half the day just driving around the city. Mexico City would be way more fun to visit, if there werent so much traffic.

Tomorrow we get to leave the hotel so that we can catch our flight to border of Belize, where will will make our way down to Belize City and then out to Caye Caulker (island) for a couple of days of snorkling, scuba, and laying on the beach.
