The Basin and its Glory

Thanks for the email! I honestly can’t understand how you happened to get all of that done in just two weeks! sounds like quite the adventurous trip! Did you not stop in Costa Rica? What? I’m very jealous of it, but mostly that you all get to be hanging out together. It’s OK though, I’m probably having a better time anyways 😉

Next transfer is April 5th or something, it doesn’t matter to me though because I’ll still be getting trained here in the good ol’ Basin.
So Jose Gamino got baptized on Saturday, he’s pretty much the coolest guy ever, because I asked him about his doubts, and he just says, I know that it’s true, so why would I have doubts? That’s what I’m talking about! He then was surprised with the opportunity to bare his testimony after he was baptized and he just said it’s crazy how different he felt, and how it was like he was this new person. He’s the man.
We taught my highlight family Maria and Samuel Mendez. They didn’t end up at church, but they’ve been reading and praying. They ask really good questions while we teach, which I LOVE because it means they’re listening. We have our third lesson with them this Wednesday and we have a member coming!
We are finding people like I wouldn’t believe. So we have this massive pool of investigators, that weeelll mostly aren’t progressing. All the Elders are starting to teach me the beauty and importance of dropping people. I still haven’t done it, but I think I’m understanding why it has to happen. Today I have my first drop talk.. I think it is going to rip my heart out. I just hope these people find the gospel soon.
So the Basin is starting to grow on me, I still don’t think I’m to the point that I can say I love it, but maybe just maybe I like it now. By the time I decide that I love it, is probably about the time that President will decide to switch me. Speaking of being switched, I asked President about where the mission would split and when we would know which we will be in. He said wherever you are July 1st is where you’ll be and then he said “Don’t get to comfortable, and don’t get to uncomfortable.” words of wisdom right there.
So general conference is coming up, so everybody get pumped for that! Man I love conference, and it’s going to be awesome on the mission I’m sure.
I hope you’re all doing well and get home from your trip in safety! Can’t wait to hear from you! I love you all to bits and beyond. I sent a letter home, and it has the number for Bekah’s husband. So no worries.
Also, what do you think about me just sending my camera memory card home? and then you could send it back? what do you think?
