“Don’t wait until you’re almost dead to really learn to live.”

Hi family,

Well I just wanted to start off by saying, I really appreciate that I have had you as a family. Sometimes I just assume everyone should be as spiritually amazing as all of you, but let’s face it I have the best family ever. So just thought I’d tell you I’m very grateful for all of you.
This week was very rough to say the least. I was going through emotional, spiritual, and physical turmoil. I am pleased to say however, I’m doing a-ok again. Actually it helps you realize how awesome it is to just be able to walk and feel good after you go through a hard week, and just realize the beauty of the good old Washington air.
So one of our investigators Carmen, well she is as solid as any person can be. I’m serious, she’s in love with church, she reads the book of mormon, and she prays. So you might ask what’s holding her back from getting baptized? Let me tell you, she is afraid of the water. No, she’s not afraid of baptism or commitment, rather the fact that they would have to put her head under the water. When she told us that I just started laughing. And then Hermana Ramos started laughing, and then Carmen started laughing, and then she says “no, pero en serio.” hahahaha oh man, so we are thinking of ways to get past that fear, I have to say that it’s definitely a new one.
Today we have Pday on Tuesday because we got to go to the temple. That was magnificent, I’m serious I just want to live in the celestial room for the rest of my life.  Then we tried to go shopping (we were given an hr) because let’s face it the amount of clothing I brought really isn’t cutting it. It was as usual and I didn’t find anything that fits me unless it was super hideous/ expensive. so pobresita. That’s why I’m just now emailing. We also forgot the phone at home, so I am super worried about that, because who knows who has called. Ay  ya.
The atonement is real. The savior loves each of us. He knows what we are going through, and why we are going through it. The church is true and perfect. I love you all.
Hermana Hannah Holladay
