Family,
My mind doesn’t seem to think past yesterday right now..
Ok here we go with earlier on in the week: We had the tour of the dairy and I was NOT feeling well that day, so there was one part where we went past where they separate the “Solids and the liquids” yaa…. I almost lost my stomach big time. BUT I kept it together, and then we looked at some baby cows which were pretty adorable.
Tuesday we had exchanges (always) I went with Hermana Smith. I think I learned more from her than I usually do on exchanges.
Wednesday we had zone Training, we also didn’t have a car so we walked. (it was getting fixed from the dang bricks that I hit). I got to do a fifteen minute training on faith, which was good, because faith is actually a very broad subject and I had a lot of good scriptures. We rode up to Royal City with three Elders and sang some lion king. It was weird to me how well everyone knew it.
Thursday: eh… who knows?
Friday: We worked with this girl Cassy she had a baby when she was only 15 yrs old and now has 4. She just turned 24. She was talking with us about the gospel and all her questions and then in the middle she said, “see! I think I’m starting to get this stuff!” I sure hope so!
Saturday: Was the world wide day of service so we did a couple service projects for some members and then we went to a good old Mexican Fiesta with the Garza Family.
SUNDAY: THE STORM: we were doing member visits (our stake pres has asked us to visit each active family for 10-15 minutes). When out of nowhere comes this crazy huge storm. We drove home (slowly) and went and shut all our windows because the AC still doesn’t work so they are always open. Everything was basically covered in a film of mud, the siding all around the roof got ripped off and a HUGE tree branch took out our fence. We then went and borrowed a couple flash lights from our favorite part-member family and on bishops orders went home early. We pulled out the bed from under the couch and slept on the ground because our beds were covered in mud. Today we drove here to email and have seen many a tree toppled to the ground. Our power still hasn’t come back on. No opening the fridge for us!
It was super cool to see how many members texted us to see if we were ok and needed anything. They are all such great people who look out for us.
now to answer the Questions of Mom:
Do you have any ideas of how you and your companion can serve and love the members? We do inspired bathroom visits and have tried to do service for as many as we can. We cleaned windows, carpet, gardens, lifted boxes, and chatted.
What can we do for you and Sister Croft? Come here and give us a massage! haha kidding, we are good. Just prayers as always.
Has the weather started to change where you are? Is there more rain in the fall months? Well… just the storm last night and it is supposed to cool down big time starting today (it’s been like 100).
How big is Warden? Little… but bigger than Basin City I’m not sure on the population, the area is big though.
Does your area cover one ward, several wards, a whole stake?
One ward, and the branch. my Zone is a stake.
Have you driven past the onion sludge lately? Every day 🙂
Well we got permission to go to Kennewick with the Roylance family for shopping 🙂 I’m praying it goes well! we are pumped! also that is why the email is coming early today.
Love and pray for you all,
Hannah
