Bed Bugs Round Two!

Who has two thumbs and is ready for bed bugs round two?
THIS GUY!
So, I don’t have very many positive things to say today, because I am pretty beat, but on the plus side I think I’m going to beat the bed bugs this time and not get kicked out of my apartment. Also, we finally found someone who says they want to get baptized!! He even came to church yesterday 🙂

I am pretty sure we finally got a date, because I kept fasting yesterday even when we were out contacting people in the million degree weather and I started having foamy spit, and getting a little delirious.
So, do you all feel badly enough for me that you’ll send me some candy? Or some photos?
I’m sorry everyone. I really don’t feel like emailing today. I’d write letters but there’s no way I’ll have time. This morning we had a service project at the vc where we pulled weeds. Yeah, they made me get up at 5:30 to pull weeds. Happy Pday to me! I got attacked by ants and now there are welts all over my feet.  Then we did bed bug stuff, and because all of our things were either in the trunk of the car or in the dryer to get hot enough to kill the bugs. We went over to the other sisters’ house, and borrowed their clothes. I’m really glad that we live close to other sisters. Now it’s email and shopping. Then we have broom hockey for our zone activity. THEN! A surprise carne asada for Elder Biddle because he goes home next week. I will be happy if I just get my frozen yogurt today.
So, about the guy we’re gonna baptize. His name is Enrique and we actually found him when we were visiting a former. The former we had on the teaching record was a lady named Kayla. It turned out she had been baptized less than a year ago in one of the English wards, but she had stopped going because she didn’t like going by herself, and her boyfriend only speaks Spanish. So, she had been wanting to switch to the Spanish ward so that he could go and learn. She was really touched that we had stopped by and she knew that it was God inviting her to come back to church. So, her and her bf came to sacrament meeting, and then met with us that night. Enrique doesn’t know a lot about God because he grew up in Cuba, but he is really willing to learn. We taught him about the nature of God, the atonement, and baptism. He seems really prepared. The only problem is that he’s a truck driver so, we’re not sure how often we’re going to be able to see him.
Also, Luis told us he’s really been thinking about baptism, and he’s been progressing in his Book of Mormon reading.
We’re planning on teaching Christian about the plan of salvation this week which I think will help him a lot because that’s what most of his questions are about.
We were also able to read 3rd Nephi 17 with a group of kids in a less active family, and invited them to come to the visitor center to watch the testaments 🙂
And we dropped a lot of not progressing investigators.
I miss you all a lot.
-Rachel
