Hey there-
So it was really awesome to see you all and skype with you. It’s funny
how normal it is to see you, sometimes I forget you are real people and
you just seem like this made up family in my head. I’m glad you are just
about as cool as I imagine you to be.
This Saturday was madness. Gustavo and Teresa got married (hallauia). We
ended up turning into kind of the best man.. Gustavo had us do just about
everything. We were running around like chickens with our heads chopped off.
With these people it is nothing but drama, Teresa forgot the bouquet so the
wedding was stalled for a good half an hr so her dad and sister could go
back and get it. There was no music and so Hermana Bazan (only active family
of the spanish group) was playing her romantic mexican music out of her
phone. I appreciated it.
Hermana Correa and I joked that we looked more pregnant than Teresa.
I started to tell mom a cool story, but I don’t think I did a very good job, so here
it goes;
We were trying a potential one day and a man started talking to us over the fence, I
turned and mentally rolled my eyes, because I had talked to him once before. He
proceeded to ask us how many times we had read the bible, and to brag that he had read
it at least 14 times. Then he started quoting scriptures at us. (all of which I was very
aware of). I started getting bugged when he was focusing most of his attack on my
companion, so I cut him off and told him we were going to go try to meet this potential
now.
Anyways, a day or two later we met a guy named Juan Perez, he lives in a little room with
this crazy bible bashing baptist. He seemed super cool, but he gave us the wrong phone
number.
A few days after that we went to have a lesson with a family who spoke english, I decided we
needed to take a spanish BoM with us. So, we were walking by and there is Juan and the
spirit immediately told me to give him the BoM and that it was for him. He had read the
restoration pamphlet and already had questions about it. We told him a brief explanation and
right as we are saying good bye… the evil baptist shows up. We peaced out and prayed that
he wouldn’t fill Juan’s head with anti junk.
Hermana Correa showed me how she would dance if she could come to Rachel’s wedding, let’s just say
it might just be worth waiting a few months for her to get home.
I Love you all,
Hermana Holladay
