Carne Asada

Hey Family,
So, MIRACLE Luis has a baptismal date. Forever our ward mission leader has been wanting to challenge Luis, and we really haven’t had much of a chance this past transfer. We had only had 2 lessons with him. One about the word of wisdom, and the other was on the doctrine of Christ. In the one on the doctrine of Christ he said he had been thinking about getting baptized but that he still needed more time. Anyways, last night was all sorts of craziness because we also have our investigator Enrique that is a truck driver so we really never know when he’s going to be around, and we stopped by his house yesterday morning and he was there. So, we taught him and then set up another lesson with him for that night. So, Hna Schwartz was with Enrique and I was with Hno Pimineta and Luis. Hno Pimineta had this idea to have a family home evening and that we’d have Luis pray to know if he was someone chosen for something great. The thing was his kids were running around crazy and he had himself, Hna Pimineta, and I sing while Luis prayed. It was crazy, and I’m not even sure what happened but Luis has a baptismal date for the 4th of August.
The lesson with Enrique also went really well. I had been franitically calling people to find someone to go to this lesson with Hna Schwartz and out of desperation I called an RM from the singles ward who doesn’t speak any spanish, but she was so excited to go. So excited in fact that I didn’t have the heart to tell her no when one of the ladies from the branch also said she could do it. You want to hear the crazy part though? The lady from our branch new the girl from the singles ward. Anyways, Enrique loved the Joseph Smith movie and wants his own copy.
Anyways, I attached some pictures from the carne asada we threw for Elder Biddle last week. It was hillarious because Elder Sammuels talked to one of the members in the branch who owns a party store so that we could have a brinca brinca there, but there’s mission rules against jumping in bounce houses. So, we rolled around in it some, and we all climbed in to try and take a picture. Even though there was no jumping the whole thing was unstable enough to make it hilarious. We also played some Hispanic christian music from one of the cars to make it sound like a Mexican fiesta. The zone also played broom hockey, but I didn’t take part in it, because like I said, I was stinking tired, and I was also in charge of running around to all the member homes to pick up beans and tortillas.
Oh yes, the other thing about last Pday that I may have mentioned but I didn’t really know the full effect of yet were the ant bites I got while we were weeding at the visitor center. Blessings for service? I’ll believe it when I see it.
Anyways, the fatigue I felt last week on Pday carried on pretty well through out the rest of the week. Elder Livingston at the vc gave me a blessing on Saturday which has helped a lot, but I’m just really worn out, and the past couple of weeks my body has been trying to shut down out of rebellion. I’m going to try to put my foot down more on needing my nap time at lunch until I start feeling better and hopefully that will be enough for now. I like what Hna Larson said about it, “I can’t just rest when I’m tired here. So, that’s what I’m going to do when I get home. For three months.”
The other rad thing that happened this week was I got a package from Hna Lamb… I guess she’s a normal person now so, Raquel. Three cheers for melted delicious fudge! It was funny because I was with Hna Fors when I opened the package, and she did not care what it looked like she was all about eating it. I should have taken a photo, but I’ve been pretty lazy about that.
Oh! Also the 4th of July happened this week. Elder Biddle called an emergency district meeting which was really just a breakfast one of the wards was having. All the sisters wore patriotic colors, and it was nice to do a little something for the holiday. We worked the night shift at the vc so the only fireworks I saw were from the car on the way home.
So, that’s more or less my week, and it’s completely out of order. So, sorry about that, but cutting and pasting sounds like a whole lot of work right now. Anyways, I love and miss you all.
Love,
Rachellie

Haha, so that’s the email, I meant to sent last week, but apparently didn’t. Sorry everyone.
