STRESS

Well, everything is going really well all of a sudden–which also stresses me out…  I’m really happy for Olga and her children though.  They love the church, they’re reading, they’re super powerful and Olga said the other day that it is her “desire” to be baptized–the only challenge left with her is getting her companion (less active member) to commit to marriage.  But I am sure he will, he loves her and everything, I think he’s probably just a little scared to get married because, let’s face it, men are cowards about getting married (well.. mostly outside of our church I think…) Continue reading “STRESS”

stuck in the same old ideas

What’s the funniest thing that has happened lately?
Well last night our investigator Augustin (he’s the one who miraculously showed up to church last week) asked me and my ‘amiga’ out to dinner. It was pretty funny but I’m actually pretty stressed out about it. Augustin has meet with us about three times this week, and he’s always willing to go to whatever we invite him to. He doesn’t know how to read but he just started listening to the Book of Mormon on CD yesterday, and he loves it, or so we hope…. Hopefully it’s not that he just loves 20 something American girls.

pure laziness

I’m trying not to fall into the trap of reading my emails before I write my letter this week…  Well, it’s been hard lately because I’ve kind of felt like my area is dying, and technically I think it must be my fault because I’ve been here FOREVER so it’s my responsibility to work the area the right way… and we haven’t had any investigators in church for two weeks, and everyone we’ve been teaching… keeps dropping us.

Merry Christmas II

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Well, a whole stinking lot has happened but I probably won’t tell you about most of it until tomorrow. Mostly Hna Watkins was transferred to the escondido branch and Hna Cottrell came to be my companion. We had to switch houses, because she’s pretty much allergic to everything, and couldn’t live with all the animals at the Pratt’s house. Hna Watkins and I took a bunch of silly photos/ did a bunch of silly things right before she left. I think the past three transfers where I was with Hna Noble and then Hna Watkins are probably the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. Transfers was a little hard on me, just because I hate moving and change is always hard. I’m excited for Christmas and I think I’m going to buy a pair of jeans today 😮 Continue reading “Merry Christmas II”

Merry Christmas

Allison finally got baptized!!!  Yay!!!  She’s been waiting about four months since we started teaching her to figure out all her crazy paper problems… Well, they weren’t that crazy it’s just kind of complicated because she was/is illegal and she needed to get her passport.  (Now that she has her passport she just needs a stamp in it).  She had to go to Belize city to order her passport from Honduras (she lost it a couple years ago when they moved or something like that) but she finally got her passport!  (Really late, but that’s beside the point..)

Facebook Stalking

How many transfers are left for both of you?  I think Rachel said she was on her last transfer, but that would be almost 8 weeks.  Is that right?
I’m going to start my last transfer on Wednesday. It will be 7 weeks long, and I’m getting a new companion. Hna Cottrell. She’s from Utah, and was also trained by Hna Fors. It’s interesting because she’s coming to my area but she’s already served here before.

13.5 hours

Well way to stink it up family, and not even email me. This email is probably going to be a little short because the Elders are huddled around trying to talk to us. I am not going to miss Elders let me tell you what. Anyways, I know I’m the worst email writer ever, but I for reals have no idea what happened this week. Continue reading “13.5 hours”
