Well it’s week two out here in good old Basin City. The mission so far has proved to be one of the most bipolar experiences of a lifetime, however Hermana Ramos and I are becoming a lot more unified and starting to become comfortable with each other, which makes things a lot easier. It was funny because at first whenever I’d use one of my accents or say something like “porque the freak no?” she’d kind of look at me like I was crazy. But I think I’m rubbing off on her, and we laugh a lot now (which is SO good). She told me last night that she had a little fun at the MTC but other than that she hasn’t had fun in the mission. But man when she gets going it gets pretty funny. So I am feeling a lot more comfortable with her and like I can be myself a little bit more. She works super hard though, which is GREAT!
Remember How I said I’d tell you about the new investigators Maria de la Luz and Samuel.. welll I really don’t know how to pick ’em apparently because we didn’t have a visit with them this week. I don’t know, I’m going to tell you about Noe instead. He’s about twenty years old and is married to a girl named Pamola, they have the cutest daughter ever named Brianna. He had a baptismal date set before, but it didn’t go through because he failed question two in his interview, about this being the true church. Which by the way he totally knows. He is just struggling with the doubt that Satan likes to put in people before something good happens. We told him that when he gets his answer he has to just run with it, he can’t sit around waiting for something to trip him. He’s going to be such an awesome member, once he just puts his mind to it.
It’s cool to be out here because we are starting to see the lord placing us where we need to be. Of course that isn’t always the case, sometimes we just try and try and door after door slammed in our faces. Haha but it doesn’t matter because then you have those miraculous moments where somebody lets you come in the door and the spirit tells them and you that this is true. That right there makes it all worth while. I love it. Yesterday for example we had literally no set appointments until seven o’ clock and we are done with church and lunch by like one on Sundays. Well we were contemplating what to do and I said let’s just knock the trailer park so hard. Anyways we went to the first door and we were trying to get each other all pumped to go knocking, then the spirit just came like a warm little fire, and the very first trailer let us in! She said she wanted to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized (SAY WHA?) and I’d say that right there is a miracle. Beautiful.
The church is true, I miss you too.
 Love,
Hermana Sister Hannah Holladay:)
