“If I die you can have all my dress.”

Family and Friends-

You’ll all be happy to here that I’m not getting transferred nor is Hermana Jackson. 🙂 Six more blissful weeks. I also had a dream that Brynn came to the mission without telling me and I ended up training her for my last two transfers. Haha

Elder Coleman said the above quote when we took their keys and they were locked out of their apartment and he got super sick, and we got super stuck in a lesson. So to make us feel much better about the situation he willed all his dresses to us. Then we asked how many dresses he had, and he told us “zero.” #generosity.

This week was a week of milargros like you wouldn’t believe. Ok maybe you would believe them. But here they are:

  1. Naomi, Lexani, Damion, Serenity, and Rubin have been reading the scriptures every night and paying attention and understanding. That’s a lot considering the oldest is 12  yrs old. Their father got a new Lawyer and they equated that to God and that they’ve been praying and reading. (he’s in jail)
  2. We taught Luis the word of Wisdom and when we came back to ask him how he was doing he told us that the next day the Doctor told him he wasn’t allowed to drink Coffee. So no word of wisdom issues there.
  3. One of my very favorite less actives Priscilla is helping fellowship our new investigator Erica. They are both about our age, so it’s kind of just a party to spend time with them. 🙂 They are doing good things.
  4. We are staying in Umatilla. 🙂
  5. I heard news that Lucy (the one I taught in Warden) has gotten baptized. 🙂
We had ward game night where we got to hang out with some nonmembers and members and build trust by me creaming them all at catch phrase.
We also did a fireside for the youth in Boardman and they asked us all about being missionaries, and at least 3 of the girls said that they were thinking they wouldn’t go until we talked to them. SO that was pretty cool.

We have done a heck of a lot of service this week, and it feels so good. The weather has been absolutely beautiful, and the hearts of the children of men have seemed to be softening. We are hoping to see some people dressed in white this next transfer.

Questions:
Tell us about the area of Umatilla.  Mountains or flat?  Lots of trees or fields? It’s a ghetto little town.. more trees than where I have been in washington we are right by the Columbia which is lovely. Pretty much flat, a little more hilly though.
How are you doing money wise?  Are you making ends meet OK?
mom if I needed to I could survive off of mints, carrots, and cereal. And maybe I’ll shoot a deer. No but I’m doing well. I always just spend too much at the beginning of the month.

Love you all,
Hermana Holladay

PS a profound thing said by Priscilla “You have to eat dirt, before you can really appreciate the taste of sugar.”

PPS remind me to send you a photo of hermana Jackson next week, we actually took some because it was so nice outside.
