La conferencia en general

Everybody-

First things first, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!! you are a big 14 yr old now! oish.

As you all know the last two days were conference. Wasn’t that just joyous?  The cool things about conference that don’t have anything to do with amazing talks:

  • My old mission President, President Greer became an area 70. !!!!! WOW
  • They sang “Lead Kindly Light,” “A Child’s Prayer,” aand “I Stand all Amazed.” So they had very good song selection.
  • My choir director from the MTC was the one directing the Orem institute choir.
  • Whenever you watch conference you just feel so connected to the glorious world of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

One day we taught five lessons and did 2 different service projects.. If you ask me that was a wildly successful day.

Jorge still hasn’t stopped smoking… At all. It’s one of those things it’s super hard to be patient. I know Heavenly Father feels this way about all us knuckle heads all the time. Our new goal is one day smoke free. Then he might see he wont die from it. That or we are going to pray he gets kidney stones and is in the hospital where he can’t smoke. I think that’s appropriate, because Nephi prayed that his people would have a drought and a famine to humble them. (just joking of course I would never do that..)
Naomi has been sick so we haven’t seen her once this week, although we do see her out playing all the time.
LUIS IS ON DATE. May 3rd. He is excited for his date, and we still have a lot to teach him, but I know he is ready and this is what he needs more than anything. More than surgery, more than it all. He also told us a story about how a lady said “you must have angels assigned to you.” and then he laughed and told her definitely did and they were the mormon missionaries. How precious is that guy?

I forgot to tell ya’ll (namely Bek) that I have an investigator from El Salvador and she makes us papusas all the time. (I have no idea how you spell that). Her name is Claudia, and she is another one who is moving so we have to pass off to the elders in Hermiston.

Life is good, I love you all and pray for you. I thought about each of you as we were singing in conference knowing you were all singing the same songs. (assuming you were all good and watched it).

love,
Hermana Holladay\
