I really wanna write in spanish which is kind of hilarious cuz I still speak English way too much. It’s kind of hard for me to form my sentences right though. My grammar was bad before the mission but it’s even worse now. 🙂
This week was a little crazy. Nelly and Jonny found out yesterday that their friend either killed himself or killed somebody else. Sadly I’m not sure which because the translation in my mind was incomplete, but somebody died, and they didn’t come to church again because of that. We gave them a lesson about finding peace through reading the scriptures and praying and coming to church all of the basics we’ve been teaching them, and how they can share their testimonies with their friends who’ve been affected by what happened so that they can also find peace during this time.
We also found new investigators. I haven’t had a single new investigator in a little over a month and therefore I feel super pumped up now. 🙂 We found Martin who has his own little self run shoe factory where he creates and fixes shoes. There’s also Tracy who’s super sweet and cool. We gave her a doorstep lesson yesterday about the restoration and how she can know the truth by praying. We’re going to visit her again tomorrow and she says that she wants to come to English classes.
We might be moving houses soon. The house we’re living in is kind of ghetto and we just found out it’s a little insecure, not to mention Elder Hatch (Who’s in charge of house stuff and whatnot) can’t contact the owner of our current home. He seems to think he’s a little sketch, but I think I know who it is so I’m going to try to set them up so they can have a conversation, but we found a 3rd story apartment that’s closer to the center and way more secure and way less ghetto for pretty much the same price. We’ll see what happens with that.
