Missions

My beautiful Family

  • It is my last normal Pday on the mission. Crazy crazy stuff.
  • Jorge only smoked two cigarettes Yesterday!! improvement!!
  • Luis is still MIA- we drop by his apartment at least once a day.
  • Teresa (she just got married) is going to Mexico in just a little bit, and wants to get baptized in October… Yikes.
  • We finally saw Elva again!! (the referral from the Vivint kid.) Her girls are back from their Dad’s so she seems a lot happier. She says she has been reading the BoM, we set up an appointment and now we exercise our faith that she will be there, and we can help her receive this beautiful gospel.

Missions are amazing. The truth is, I did need a lot more conversion, and I’m quite convinced I still do.. Now I get to be with my family to continue with it. 🙂
Missions, are just a thing you can never really put into words…

So I’m going to answer the questions from your letters this last week (I really enjoyed them by the way):
Elly: yes I’m so pumped to share a room with you for a month, and I might need a volunteer roommate for the three days you are at trek. Don’t worry we will keep it clean for sure.
For resumes just make it look cute, and then you’re pretty much in 😉
For mom:
Where do I want dinner? depending on my mood I want Bajios, zupas, or JcWs. UTAH!!
Will I do Rachel’s hair? It would be an honor, but I’ll have to practice. I’m hoping doing hair is like riding a bike.
I would love to pick Matt and Elly up from trek. Since they’re ditching us for a couple days.:) Isn’t it in Wyoming or something?
Going on the minitrek? that depends on how long it is and how hot it is, because sad as it may seem, I’m really out of shape. 🙂

Questions:
What is the most effective thing you have seen done among the missionaries in helping to convert? Love. Teaching simply, with inspired questions, and testimony, always leaving a commitment.

What is the most effective thing you have seen done among the members to help with conversion? Love.

What is one good thing that missionaries do that the rest of us should be doing or that you want to keep up after your mission? I think as a missionary you are always always applying the doctrine of christ in our lives, I think we often forget to do that outside of a mission, I want to continue to strive for perfection.

When does Sister Correa get back home? There is always room for another sister in the family 🙂 She gets back the 30th of December.

I love you all mucho, see you soon,
Hermana Holladay
