LOOOVE YOU

Today I am really cranky, because someone made a comment on my Spanish and it hurt my feelings. So, this is probably going to be short. There were some miracles this week. My favorite one is that Luis bore his testimony in Sacrament meeting yesterday. He’s getting baptized this Saturday and I’m pretty stoked. I haven’t had very many baptisms on my mission, but I feel like the people I have been able to help teach have really great testimonies, and it’s a huge blessing. I worry about Ana I still don’t really know what happened to her. Last I heard she was in Venezuela, but I don’t even know why she ended up being deported. 🙁 I wish I had more time to figure it out.

Catholicism

Well, I started out last week with a cold/cough again, but we had set those really high goals I talked about last week. So, we just worked anyways, and we worked, and we worked. Even after Hna Schwartz twisted her ankle on Saturday. We kept walking around anyways, because we were more or less out of potentials, and we just wanted to find a couple more people. Sunshine in my sole today…

Sorry again about last weeks email. Not sure what happened.  This week has been pretty good. Lots of little struggles still. We’ve been sent out full field so, we decided to try and get to know all the apartment complexes and streets in the area a little better. So, we walked from one end of our area to the other during the least productive part of the day 12-3 oh wait, also the hottest part of the day. Also because we were going to be walking a lot I decided to wear my ugly sister missionary shoes. Bad idea. I ended up with roughly 10-12 blisters. I am NEVER going to wear those shoes again. Carne Asada

Hey Family,
So, MIRACLE Luis has a baptismal date. Forever our ward mission leader has been wanting to challenge Luis, and we really haven’t had much of a chance this past transfer. We had only had 2 lessons with him. One about the word of wisdom, and the other was on the doctrine of Christ. In the one on the doctrine of Christ he said he had been thinking about getting baptized but that he still needed more time. Continue reading “Carne Asada”

Bed Bugs Round Two!

Who has two thumbs and is ready for bed bugs round two?
THIS GUY!
So, I don’t have very many positive things to say today, because I am pretty beat, but on the plus side I think I’m going to beat the bed bugs this time and not get kicked out of my apartment. Also, we finally found someone who says they want to get baptized!! He even came to church yesterday 🙂

Temple Visit

Greetings from the oven of the southwest.
Well, I am not sure what to write about and I am extremely limited on time today. Remember how last week I had to split my pday in half because of the temple trip? Well this week it was cut short because of the Spanish specialized training we had this morning. That went an hour over… we also scheduled a lesson for today at 4, but that was our bad. JUST GET BAPTIZED ALREADY!

How is the street contacting going?  Have you and Hermana Schwartz been working on your baptismal challenges this past week during your companion study?
Ok. I am getting a little better at it. We’ve practiced baptismal challenges but we didn’t even have the opportunity to invite anyone except for Christian… I invited him in the first 5 minutes of meeting him, but he said no. I’m definitely like Rebekah and just throw the cake at people instead of handing it to them on a plate. Continue reading “JUST GET BAPTIZED ALREADY!”
