I had to ask Hermana Ellis how to spell hello for the subject line. 🙂 Jaja. So, not sure what to say. After the Skype call I feel kind of wordless. It’s kind of funny cuz we didn’t have that much time, and I didn’t even tell you guys what happened in the last week but I’m still not sure what to say.
This week we contacted quite a bit. We’re working really hard on finding right now. That is the focus of the mission for this transfer. It’s been a little rough because we’ll set up tons of appointments with people and then we’ll get there and they aren’t home. I’m pretty sure half of them tell us to pass by when they won’t be home and the other half just forgets and goes out. We try to call people to remind them the day before but up till now it doesn’t seem to work super great. We’ll keep trying though. Don’t worry. We’re going to find the people who are ready. 😀
So, Something that I didn’t mention in the Skype is that Ricardo came to church 2 Sundays in a row. He’s an eternal investigator who’s 15 and goes to all of the activities but prefers attending the Evangelico churches on Sunday because they’re really into music and he plays the guitar so he gets to participate there. But he came to church that first week after attending the other churches for a really long time. Then he came back the second week and bore his testimony in sacrament meeting sharing that that week had been the happiest he’s had in a long time. (ALL WEEK LONG) And he said that he knew it was because he had come to the TRUE church! He didn’t know that before so that is a pretty big miracle. Then 2 days ago he didn’t come to church (the little buggermeister) but he wants to get baptized. The only reason he didn’t come was because he had lots of homework, but he’s planning on coming back every week now and the only issue he has now is that his mom doesn’t want him to get baptized because she doesn’t think he’s ready. I’m with her and I’m pretty sure he is too. So we’re all going to be working really hard to make sure that he can progress and make some good changes in his life and that his mom sees it and softens her heart. But honestly anything is possible with the help of God and he gives us miracles according to our faith.
Love you all a ton! Take care! (Not sure if anybody actually says that in English)
