Sorry again about last weeks email. Not sure what happened. This week has been pretty good. Lots of little struggles still. We’ve been sent out full field so, we decided to try and get to know all the apartment complexes and streets in the area a little better. So, we walked from one end of our area to the other during the least productive part of the day 12-3 oh wait, also the hottest part of the day. Also because we were going to be walking a lot I decided to wear my ugly sister missionary shoes. Bad idea. I ended up with roughly 10-12 blisters. I am NEVER going to wear those shoes again.
Anyways, along with that there’s been a few more bed bug bites, headaches from the heat and sun, and then the general stomach problems from eating Mexican food. Nothing that is really a problem but a lot of things that are annoying. On the plus side we haven’t seen any bed bugs since last week. So, it looks like this time we caught them before it was a real problem 😀
I got the package of pictures and things 🙂 THANKS SO MUCH. For reals, things like packages make all the difference when I am feeling crummy.
I really am missing all of you a lot. Things are going well here and we’re working hard, but I am really tired. I’m probably just going to sleep for a month when I get home. That and feel embarrassed that Rebekah is fluent in Spanish and I still sound terrible.
We saw lots of miracles this week, and met all but one of our goals. God likes to throw me a bone every once and a while so that I don’t call it quits. Luis seems pretty excited about everything and I’m pretty sure it’s also because he has a crush on one of his fellow shippers. Flirt to convert 😉 it never fails. Enrique is also still doing pretty well. We need to make sure he gets an audio version of the Book of Mormon on his phone, because he’s always out on the road, and still hasn’t read. Tonight we’re going to set a new date with him according to when him and his fiance want to get married.
The really only unusual thing that happened this week was that it rained… A LOT. It was really nice to have a little break from the heat. OK, it was still hot, but it’s amazing what a difference a little cloud cover makes here.
Anyways, pretty jealous that Rebekah now gets to live off fried chicken and french fries. Thanks again for the photos 🙂 I loved them a lot and I showed them to everyone in the vc. I’m going to try and print some for Rebekah today so wish me luck. I love you all lots and lots. Sorry that I whine a lot sometimes. Know that things are still good.
Love you,
Rachel
