The Book is Blue

Hi beautiful family,
First thing, I am sending to James@holladays .org so I don’t know if that is working for you.. lemme know the correct email.
Two: thank you for the two packages since I’ve gotten here they have been greatly appreciated and the food is now fully consumed.
Three: Dad! I love getting your missionary journal entries, it’s one of my favorite things, so thank you for that.
Four: Matt, a lesson I learned a while ago, the road/sidewalk always wins the fight.
Five: If you see sister Hamilton tell her I love her and thank her so much, I will try to write her a note today, but we will see.
This week has been pretty phenomenal, I am quite in love with it. I was told that I could transfer districts if I wanted to about two days ago, but I think I’m just going to stay where I am, I think I am learning what I need to from the people I was put with, also I just love them all so much. I want to tell you about my district but I think it would be helpful for you to see their faces, and I don’t have my camera USB thing-a-majig, so I’ll save that for next week. Just know they’re all grand, even though I am the target of a good number of their jokes. Why does that always happen? 😉
I’m in the MTC Choir and we sang the song “Jesus once of humble birth” or whatever the title is, it was the best thing ever. I seriously love being a part of it. The choir director is AMAZING.
My investigator Luis, became my teacher. He is almost as grand a teacher as an investigator. We only had five lessons with him, on the last one we committed him to baptism, but he was still needing lots and lots of work, so I was sad when they assigned us two new investigators.  Their names are Florentino and Brendan.
Yesterday we learned how to teach the investigators how to pray. One of our teachers who only comes in randomly was helping. I got pared up with him, and it always makes me more uncomfortable to teach a teacher (better get used to it with my investigators however) anyways I taught him what prayer was and what he would feel, and asked him what question he had. He said it was simply “is God there?” Anyways he prayed and we are on our knees with everyone else is doing this same activity and I say “just wait a second, and listen.” Basically we get after a couple minutes of spirit pumping out of heaven into our hearts, and I asked him what he experienced. He just starts talking about all the good feelings he has and starts tearing up way big time. Then I share my testimony of how we can get answers like that all the time. Basically it was the coolest thing ever, because while we both already know God exsists, while in character during that role play Heavenly Father spoke to us both big time. It’s also nice to know that even with all my gramatical mistakes with Spanish, the spirit can be felt. It was just amazing
Hermana Williams and I decided to work harder on our Spanish together. It’s hard because we are on such different levels, but the hope is that we can help each other out. She had a really emotional day yesterday, and it was good, because it just helped to bring the spirit and rely more on the Lord.
Final story less spiritual in nature:
The elders in my district have taken it upon themselves to secure my happiness in the eternities. Apparently they don’t find me capable of finding a man later in my life. So Elder Willey says “Hermana Oijaday (we like to speak Spanish always;) I will get my best comp to write you so you can get married when he gets home.”  I then told him I wouldn’t accept anything less than a Greek god. So they decided to get me that Greek god, and yesterday at dinner I had a fun conversation with a young man who is so huge he could probably eat me. I was so mad. I am still planning Elder Willey’s death, so if you have any good ideas let me know. Since then, every single person in my Zone has asked me about my “Greek god.” Man I gotta love being the butt of all the jokes.
Well chin up 🙂 the book is blue, the church is true.
I love you all, be the best you can be.
See you soon
~Hermana Hannah Banana Holladay.
