I have acne! can you believe it? I mean I´ve had acne before, but not very bad acne, and never around my nose. I´ve got crazy acne on and around my nose. It´s kind of wierd, and this started about a day and a half ago so I´m not used to it yet. So I arrived in Chile last week on Tuesday morning. There were 12 new missionaries total that day. It was fun. My trainer is Hermana Clark from Bountiful Utah. She´s amazing! I love how knowledgeable and patient she is because I´m constantly making stupid mistakes or getting distracted and asking her to repeat stuff. My first night here was pretty interesting. Hermana Clark was dreaming that she was sleeping on the bottom bunk bed, but she was on the top. So she had this random urge to get out of bed and thinking she was on the bottom, stepped off into the air. She landed stomache first on the edge of the back of my chair which toppled over landing her on the floor. She was in a little bit of shock and just sat there a minute and wondered why I hadn´t said anything. Meanwhile I was half woken up by the sound, but I had been facing away from her and I didn´t know what had woken me up so after a minute of thinking about it I decided to roll over to try to go back to sleep and saw her on the floor. I´m smart so I finally put 2 and 2 together and asked “Did you just fall?” She was still kind of in shock and she says that the pain hadn´t hit her yet so she just said yeah and went to the bathroom and then back to bed. When we got up in the morning she had a good bruise on her head from what we aren´t sure and her stomach from the chair, but the chair was bent so crooked that it can´t stand up straight anymore, and it´s made of hard solid not hollow metal. I´m pretty amazed she wasn´t bawling, but she´s cool like that not to mention probably a little blessed. We only taught 4 lessons my first week because most of our appointments fell through, but those 4 were amazing and now we´re both ready to go teach the world. I´m living and serving in Santa Juana Chile and in order to get here from concepcion I had to move all of my stuff on a small bus that doesn´t have space for luggage, but our bus driver found a way to do it cuz he was cool like that. We have this member Gabriel who goes with us to a lot of our evening appointments, and he´s pretty awesome. He´s 20 and we´re trying to prep him for his mission which he´s aiming to serve in November, so that´s exciting. He teaches us all the fun flaitei (gangster) Chilean words so we can be pretty much native.
