Family-
This week was GREAT! Well I’m not really sure if the full week was great, but at least yesterday was great, and that’s usually as far back as I can really remember.
Nah I think, it was mostly good. We had 9 member presents this week with all different people and we actually had a member just volunteer to come out with us… It was awesome!
I don’t remember if I have told you much about Naomi… she has four kids Lexani, Damion, Serenity, and Rubin-scubin-dubin. They are so precious, and adorable, and I’m pretty much just crazy in love with their family. We had texted her multiple times to see if she would be coming to church.. she never replied which generally is just a cowardly way of saying “no.” However, the sneaky angel just showed up with all four kids BEFORE church started. we were so excited to see her there. We then had a lesson with the family and we brought the Bishop’s wife who Lexani refers to as “my hommie.” haha and Naomi finally said the closing prayer and in it she prayed that they would continue to make it to church every week. They’re phenomenal and it’s such a blast to see all of them progress. Damion has been opening up and talking more in lesson, and every time it seems to get a little more focused and controlled. Also.. their father is facing some pretty heavy charges so we can keep them all in our prayers..

Jorge decided this week that he was going to stop smoking by the end of next week.. meaning 0 cigarettes. He picked a date for may 9th, which seems a long way away, buuut I think we will let it slide at this point. It’s funny because he is literally the most active spanish speaker that we have, and he isn’t even baptized.
Luis went away to get surgery on his eye (hopefully). and may not be back for three weeks. He says that he has been listening to the BoM on his phone, and he also wants to get baptized in May. I don’t know why no one wants April, because that sounds like a really great month to me, the birth of Christ, founding of the church, and Easter. Anyways we love luis.
We found a couple new investigators, and lately our women just don’t seem to want to progress much, except of course Naomi.
Things are going well.. we might go bowling as a zone today, and you all know they should look out for my mad bowling skills. I’m excited.
I love you all, and it sounds like you are all doing great. Keep up the good work, love life. In a talk given by Elder Wirthland he was speaking about how we have the chance to react how we will, he said very simply that we should just laugh more. He said often we get in the car and someone cuts us off and we act as though they have offended us, our family, and all our ancestors back to Adam and Eve, when it would be much better to just laugh about it and move on. SO that’s one thing I’ll be working on, laughing more, and being frustrated less.
