Dear Fam,
Really have to be pretty brief because we went to acujutla today to eat at a seafood place (yeah, you can imagine how excited I was about that) by the beach… It was fun, but I have at last gotten my first sunburn. Wahoo!!! I gave my sunscreen to a lady in the ward who super needed it, and now I just have a lotion that’s probably spf 5 which works for most of the time since I’ve been out in the sun every day for 6 mths… it’s like your skin gets an immunity.
Hopefully we will have two baptisms this month: Paty and Zuleyma. If you could pray for them, it would be much appreciated.
I’M DYING! Why isn’t there air conditioner in this place!? And why do all the people here survive without WATER!? Va creer.
Something interesting… something interesting… uhhhhhhh…..
Yep, really can’t think of anything… Oh! Alexis, a recent convert, asked us about fasting, so we explained to him about it and he was like, “what things can you fast for? A bike?” Va creer. He fasted for a bike and he got one, and he asked if he could fast for a girl, but he was joking. Another sister in a lesson we had shared an example of faith by telling a story about when she was a girl and they didn’t have anything to eat but beans but she said they were going to eat chicken, and she prayed for chicken. a moment later a chicken flew in the window, she killed it, and they ate it.
Faith.
Rebekah, what happened to your hand?
Fell down. I’m cool like that.
What was I doing?
Walking.
How much longer does Sister Estrada have left in the field?
2 weeks.
Is it unusual to be in the same place for 6 months?
Yep, that’s pretty long. It’s also pretty unusual to have a companion for 3 cambios too. I’ve only had one area and two companions the whole time.
I really…. really…. want to leave….
How is Paty progressing?
Good. Crazy and good. We’re trying to get her to read a little and stuff, I’m giving her and Zuleyma short five verse assignments to understand better the tree of life scriptures.
