Going home uncertified

Pues… I was doing really just fine not thinking about going home and stuff, but then this really terrible, horrible thought about the Singles Ward came to me… and now I’m kind of freaking out.

We just passed certification for teaching lesson 2.  Can you believe that?  They’re certifying us and I am going to leave the mission short of one lesson to be certified.

It’d make me look better if they just waited to start certifying us after I was gone….

Going home uncertified… that’s just embarrassing.

Sigh.  Well, the Ramirez family didn’t make it to church this Sunday because of small emergencies or whatever, but they’re supposed to go this Sunday and we’re trying to take care of divorce papers and blah blah blah.

It’s gotten REALLY hot.  Did I tell you before?  It was COLD.  I was COLD.  It was raining like every day for three weeks and now I’m burning and my skin is dying even more.  I think it’s mutating… to be bumpy and weird… like a monster…

Anyways… I really can’t remember anything to tell…  Myra is the daughter-in-law of the Orrellana’s and we’re working with her now, but she needs to get married so that should be interesting… her companion hasn’t gone to church so we’re going to talk with him today.  I think I’m going to be teaching lots of law of chastity today…  Adults favorite sin.  After coffee.

I really love the Liahona and the conference talks.  When I need something for myself, I really have to go to the talks–I guess I never believed it before, but now I know it’s true that the talks really are written for our needs–because every time I’m discouraged I look at the index of all the conference talks and there’s always one that stands out and I’m like–oh yeah–that’s exactly what I need to read about today…

You should do it.  It will change your life.

Love,
Bek
