A Wedding & Two Baptisms

Aw man… I was trying to think of things to write but I forgot again…  I admit I was kind of freaking out when they announced that 19-yr-olds can serve missions now because I know that Hannah will be gone by the time I get home.  I think James will be too. 🙂  Which is pretty AWESOME it’s just gonna make going home even weirder…  And to answer Dad’s question… no… still don’t know when I’m going home…I was thinking it was the beginning of February because that’s what some Elders said, but I found out that Sis Ellis is going home and the transfers of January are about 15th of January so I will be going home probably about the middle/end of February after all.  Not sure.  But if you guys aren’t comin to get me you don’t need to know when I finish.  I’ll just SURPRISE everyone when I come home…

So here are the photos from the Guerra and Orellana family’s baptisms.  Well, wedding first for the Guerras.  That was a crazy day.  I think someday Belize will be organized like the States.  But now it’s still kind of crazy.

We’re working with a young boy who’s actually from an active family, but he still hasn’t been baptized even though he’s already 9, so now he is a mission baptism.  We went over the baptismal interview questions with him and I must say, it strikes me how wonderful the gospel is when you explain it to a child.  I love to hear simple gospel truths.  The most basic, plain truths, are the most astounding, really.  The law of chastity means you respect your body and other people’s body.  That you keep yourself clean and pure.  That’s the law of chastity, really.  And that’s how you gotta explain it to someone who’s nine-years-old.

Well, love you all, thank you for your prayers,

Love,
Hermana Holladay
