Yeah, I just read that from a kid’s book when I was standing up on the bus… don’t know why the Princess was eating hard cheese, but it caught my attention because the word NEVER was bolded and big and read.

Disappointing Week
Dear Family,
It was a little disappointing of a week because 5 baptismal dates fell through because Sister Orellano said she couldn’t come to church because her pastora from the other church she goes to is angry with her for going to our church and she has that “commitment” to go to the other church and she doesn’t seem to understand the Restoration after all… and Brother Orellano was drunk… and if the parents go, the kids go too. We also lost another one because Brother Alejandro got called in to work… and so now of course the Zone Leaders are asking us to baptize him Sunday, but we’ll see.

Happy Drunk
Well… I don’t know why I just don’t feel like writing these days anymore… I just like reading the letters from other people more so I haven’t been stressing about using my time to write and then when I finish reading I have like 10 minutes left at the most… Now I have like five…

Elder Maxwell Needs Some Love.

The Really Big Beach
Do people usually stay in Belize until they go home, or is it possible you will get sent back to El Salvador? Yes, I will go back to El Salvador at least to have the last hoopla dinner before we go home. I actually found out today that there aren’t transfers in March, so I think I’m going home at the end of February after all… I should probably ask President, but I don’t wanna sound like I’m baggy… There is a slight chance I might go back to train in El Salvador, but it’s very likely I will finish my mission in Belize because of the paperwork that goes into getting people here they usually plan to keep us here a while.
It was Interesting
Well, we just had what we as missionaries like to call a big… “machete.” Ouch. My first District Leader said one time that the old mission President, Pte Lopez, when he macheted he macheted with a dull blade, so you FELT it when he macheted you, but when Pte Cordon machetes you, you don’t know what’s happening until a moment later you see your head’s on the floor. Reloco
Things have been slowing down–and that is BAD. We need to keep up. Sister Duarte was telling me about how in her ward one time there were 40 baptisms in one month. Because there were ward missionaries helping with the teaching and the entire ward was involved. Wow. 40. Sister Duarte said on the day of all the baptisms, one of the sisters fainted when the 25th person was baptized. Yeah. I would faint too. I would probably faint several times before the baptisms too. But it just goes to show miracles are possible, and really… every member is a missionary. If everyone would get involved the second coming would probably come a lot, a lot faster… Continue reading “Reloco”
