OK… I admit I really waited too long to get around to writing everyone… but I was trying to do all those other emails I keep forgetting to do the other days…
Elder Maxwell, my district leader, wants me to ask you all to write him a letter… because he says it’s more likely if he asks you to write him a letter that you’ll write it than his own family… so if you all wanna write Elder Maxwell you can send a letter to the same address as mine, just with Elder Maxwell on the envelope.
Marvin got baptized without any disasters. It’s our weirdest baptism in that it actually went as planned without any real drama… we even announced it in church the sunday before and we didn’t lose him the day of his baptism, etc. It’s kind of funny that we ended up baptizing him because one day I was like, “yes, he’s a definite snake,” to sister Duarte, “Oh well. He’ll just have to wait for the elders to come.” We’ve been inviting him to church since we’ve got here–and he came once and left, but then all of a sudden one day he came and stayed so we figured we had to teach him. But I actually like him now, even though he’s a little weird.
“After all that has been said, the greatest and most important duty is to preach the Gospel.” Joseph Smith.
Remind me to tell you about the drunk guy and Brother Alejandro next week. Sorry to be brief!
