Feriado!

So Holiday in Spanish is Feriado, and yesterday was Feriado for Chile so the Cyber was closed and I couldn’t write. I hope none of you freaked out. 🙂

Harold got baptized! I sadly couldn’t be there, but I’m excited to see him again some day in the celestial kingdom, or more soon if I get lucky.

We have 2 baptismal dates here in Tolhuaca. We have Nely and Jonny who are super awesome and they’ll be getting married the end of this month and starting the next month with a baptism. 🙂 They’ve been receiving missionaries for about a year but they’re finally very much ready to actually do it. It’s amazing to me how every person progresses so differently, because we’re all unique and there’s literally no way to judge who’s ready, cuz sometimes the only reason they aren’t ready is cuz they haven’t learned from the right person yet, or they’re just a little slow to figure it out like brigham young, but God has the perfect plan.
So every companionship has a binder for their sector and it’s called the carpeta. The Carpeta for Tolhuaca is very frustrating because it’s so disorganized, but I feel like that is one of the talents that I bring to the mission. I’m really good at organizing paperwork and I have the right kind of patience to do it. It’s been an adventure to figure out how to work without a more experienced companion, but Hna. Fritcher works really hard and together we’re figuring out that with God anything is possible, and the spirit can add a lot of power to an honest testimony about something that’s true.
I had this super trunky dream last night. Everybody in my family including myself was at our house in Lindon eating dinner together. My mom had made sopapillas (They’re Chilean scones, which are better than normal scones) and hot dogs and burgers It was super delicious and super American tasting in a weird way. I swear I could taste it just as if I were eating it and I could even remember the feeling of the shape of the chair while I sat at the table so it was almost like I was really there, but at the same time I knew I was dreaming. It was kind of a weird experience, but my first trunky dream in the mission so I thought I’d share.

Hermana Feriado!
