funny story…

So, you know that inspiring story I told you all last week about Paty?  Yeah… she dropped us.  Investigators are kind of like revelation.  Really confusing.  And you pretty much never know who’s going to be positive and who isn’t the first visit or two, and then the persons you think are positive throw you for a loop when they decide to reject something for some reason randomly.

It’s just the gospel.  Take it, people, and stop complaining.

Oh, a story I forgot to tell:  One time we went to visit one of our neighbors, and we shouted, “BUENAS!!!” to see if she was home.  No answer.  “BUEEEEENNAAAAASS!!!”  Man do people just love when we yell at their doors.  When no one listens to us Hna Estrada likes to fake cry and say, “Vamos!  Nadie nos quiere!”  (Let’s go.  Nobody likes us!)  Anyways, the second or third time we yelled, we heard a voice saying, “Ya voy!” (I’m coming).  So we waited..

And waited…

And after about 15 minutes still yelling, “Hola, Hermana??”  We decided to call it quits and we figured she didn’t really want to come after all.  A while later we asked her about it, and she was like, that was Laura.

Laura is her parrot that talks.  She also makes monkey sounds every morning.  It’s kind of cool.

We had a bad week what with Paty and all, we’re going to visit her again and see what’s up I think, but she said she didn’t really know what she felt when she prayed, and that she couldn’t go to the church alone, and that she was going to go to church with her grandma and she doesn’t want to get baptized…

But something cool happened.  A lady that we always invite to church but they never go because they’re always making tortillas… randomly went to the stake conference for Central America!!  Yay!!!  I’m just wondering if a member from another ward invited her… we weren’t able to talk to her so… we’lll find out.

Zuleyma is still good to baptize this Saturday… I hope… Unless we have another disaster.

How are you both doing with the allotment you receive each month?  I’m assuming that generally it is enough, but I don’t really know, so….

Yeah, we don’t really talk about it.  That’s scriptural advice.  Don’t worry about what you’re going to eat, drink, or wear… and sometimes you still seem to survive mas o menos…

Any changes with your investigators Beks?

Yep………. We also found this huge group of people the other day, a sorta family with a single mom and like three kids so we’ll see how that goes.

Tell me about the funniest thing that happened this week and the saddest thing.

Can’t remember from this week something funny…

Love,
Bekah
